Briggs Woods Public Golf Course, perfectly positioned overlooking the pristine Boone River Valley of Hamilton County, boasts an 18-hole course that stretches 6,500 yards and a par 72. Briggs’ smooth greens and well-kept fairways are punctuated by dramatic arching trees and strategic bunkers creating a challenging, yet pleasurable, golf experience.

Legacy, Oak, and Hickory Cabins … A Charming Country Stay
Tucked away under the lush timber canopy of the Briggs Woods park is the, two-story “Legacy Cabin.” This charming cabin sleeps up to 15 persons with two full bedrooms, two 3/4 baths, a sleeping loft, full kitchen, living room, heat and air conditioning, television, and is ADA compliant. The Legacy Cabin also features a large covered deck overlooking picturesque Briggs Woods Lake. A fire ring and grill sit adjacent to the cabin enhancing the private cabin picnic area. The AmericInn Motel has an indoor pool, and hot tub. The AmericInn is located 2 miles from the course, just south of Highway 20 on Highway 17. We take care of all arrangements from the course. For reservations or information, please call (515) 832-9572.
Newly renovated The Super 8 Motel has an indoor pool, and game room. The Super 8 is located 2 miles from the course, just south of Highway 20 on Highway 17. This property has been ranked 32nd in the United States out of 2,500 properties & ranked 6th in Iowa. They have been named the 2015 Trip Advisor Winner.
